Abstract: The study examines the role of influencers in Jordan on social media and their growing presence in the digital public sphere, investigating their impact on shaping the attitudes of Jordanian youth toward the war in Gaza (2023– 2025) through followers’ engagement with their accounts. It also explores the role of content produced by these influencers regarding the genocide Israel is committing in Gaza, in reshaping the priorities of Jordanian youth, and assesses the depth of this content and its ability to convey the complex emotional, humanitarian and social dimensions of the war’s consequences. The study was conducted with a sample of 458 Jordanian youth using a questionnaire to collect data. The findings highlight several key points, most notably the trust placed in influencers’ content about the war in Gaza by the sample, as social media has become a primary source of knowledge, increasingly embedded in daily life for news and information. The results show that 97.16 % of Jordanian youth trust the information and news shared by influencers, and they attribute this to the influencers’ posts being supported by evidence documenting the events of the war, which accounted for 85.59 %. Additionally, 80.56 % of respondents trust the expertise of the influencers they follow. The study further revealed that content from Jordanian influencers’ accounts has led to a significant shift in the attitudes of Jordanian youth toward the war on Gaza. It fostered national awareness and encouraged the boycotts of companies supporting Israel, which received the highest mean score (2.75) and a standard deviation of 0.490, indicating a strong effect. This influence extended beyond youth alone, impacting the broader Jordanian society, which continues to boycott supporters of the Israeli government, particularly certain international brands. Moreover, this content encouraged Jordanian youth to donate and participate in supporting the people of Gaza and made the study participants more active in discussions about the war on Gaza with family and friends.
