Abstract: This paper examines Israel’s shifting perception from the Zionist far- right’s ideological framework to its global standing as transformed amid investigations into its wartime conduct and the erosion of its political capital due to the commission of genocide against Palestinians, as concluded by multiple international bodies. The analysis draws on fourteen indicators from new reports and surveys, along with five international studies conducted during the summer and fall of 2025 by the United Nations and credible research institutions in the United States and Europe, including Harvard’s Center for American Political Studies (Harvard CAPS), Harris Poll, Gallup, PEW and others. The study focuses more on examining the state of public opinion in the United States, Israel’s primary source of support. It adopts two theoretical frameworks: one from social psychology—the theory of social representations—and another from media and communication studies— mediatisation theory, a recent development in Scandinavian academia over the past decade. It concludes that the branding of immoralities, perpetuated by Israel in its ongoing genocide against Gaza’s population, reflects an ugly face of the open rivalry between the school of political realism, advocated by neo-Machiavellians and apologists for the "law of the strong" among far-right leaders—including Netanyahu, Gallant, Ben-Gvir and Smotrich in Israel, as well as the new Trumpists in the United States, and the school of political idealism, emphasised by Immanuel Kant, the leading theorist of Western modernity. The study also examines what appears to be Netanyahu’s miscalculation in entangling his government, military, supporters and Jews worldwide—knowingly or unknowingly—in the trap of embracing the Nazi concept of a "Warfare State" rather than achieving a "Welfare State",
