As we kick off 2025, it’s clear that the year ahead brings both opportunities and challenges for the Tasmanian community club sector. Looking back on the past 12 months, we’ve had great success in advocating for the Ticket to Wellbeing program – a fantastic initiative that benefits both community clubs and individuals by encouraging active participation through vouchers. This year, our priority will be working towards removing the cost for volunteers to obtain their Working with Vulnerable People Card, ensuring more people can support their communities without financial barriers. Clubs Tasmania has been busy preparing workshops for 2025 to ensure community clubs across the state have access to valuable resources, training, and support. We’re excited to announce we have secured access to Clubmap’s resources for the next three years, starting in July. These resources include job descriptions, 200 short videos (3–5 minutes) on various topics with step-by-step guides, committee structure templates and much more. If your club is interested in accessing these resources, please reach out to us.
