MSCA had a technical visit to Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA). IRDA briefed and updated on their Iskandar Malaysia Urban Observatory (IMUO). IMUO showing lot of improvement by enhancing its function as monitoring dashboard on Skudai River, data integration platform for traffic & accident report and communication platform to execute flood mitigation plan. The mobilisation team has identified several partners such as WAZE and KANZU Research, UTHM to support IMUO program. IMUO is expected to be fully function and operate by 2024. To support the 5G development initiative in smart cities, MSCA are pleased to receive an invitation from the Penang State Government, as one of the moderators for Penang 5G Executive Forum, represented by Mohamed Shajahan Bin Mohamed Iqbal, EXCO of MSCA & Chief Technology Officer, Three Opp Sdn Bhd. The program was officiated by YAB Chow Kon Yeow, Penang Chief Minister at Grand Ballroom, Hotel Eastern & Oriental Penang. This Forum aims to provide exposure and information about 5G network technology involving the use, planning and development of infrastructure as well as awareness related to Electric Magnetic Field (EMF) to all stakeholders in the state of Penang.
