Huge News From Pro PT A Serious Reason to Be Thankful

treatment, and one of the first in New England to adopt this pioneering therapy. We even have other doctors from all over the region visiting our office to have a look.

With Thanksgiving on the horizon, we’ve all been thinking about what we’re grateful for this year. For me, our wonderful community of patients is always at the top of the list. We are so lucky to serve a collection of extraordinary people, and, because of that, we’re always thinking of ways to provide value and service to our patients. To that end, I have some big, game- changing news to announce in this month’s newsletter. I recently traveled to Denver to attend a medical conference, where I worked hands-on with new technologies. To be honest, I went there with the intention of investigating one piece of equipment in particular: a Class IV deep tissue laser therapy machine. I wasn’t alone. It was the No. 1 exhibit clinicians who were lined up to check out. With its recent approval by the FDA, this type of therapy has been on the tip of everyone’s tongue. It’s been featured on “Dr. Oz” and “The Doctors,” and it’s truly on the cutting edge of therapy. After seeing it with my own eyes, it’s not hard to understand why. Now to the big news. I’m so excited to announce that Pro PT will now be offering Class IV deep tissue therapy to future and existing patients. What was once only available to elite-level athletes like Olympians is now sitting in our office waiting to help our patients. We’re the only clinic in our county offering the

As you’re reading this, you may be wondering why we chose to offer this service to our patients now. Well, I had looked into a Class III laser a while back, but honestly it just wasn’t good enough to warrant a massive investment. The Class IV laser, being 30 percent more powerful than its predecessor, does as much work in a 5-10 minute session as the previous iteration did in an hour! Another reason for us making the commitment is that our patients have been asking about it. Word spreads fast once a treatment has received FDA-approved status, and we are always on the lookout for the latest and greatest ways to treat our patients. There’s an insert inside this issue detailing some of the specifics about the laser and how you can sign up to be one of the very first people to receive treatment, but I wanted to share a few exciting facts about it here. Firstly, it’s 100 percent surgery and pain free. When you hear laser, you may think of the pain associated with tattoo or hair removal, but that is not the case with this laser. It treats acute and chronic inflammation, and it accelerates healing and reduces pain. In short, it’s pretty remarkable, and it delivers results. If you can’t tell by my gushing tone, I’m so thrilled to offer this state-of-the-art treatment to our patients. I’m always thankful for the opportunity to increase our suite of treatment options, and this laser is a huge step into the future of physical therapy. As you sit down to your Thanksgiving meal this year, I hope you can come up with a few things you are thankful for. I may bore my relatives with all my talk about this medical laser, but let me tell you, there’s nothing more exciting to me than giving our patients the best!
