As the leading museum for London, we tell the story of the world’s greatest city and its people. It is an exciting time in our own history as we plan for our move to a new home in Smithfield. We are seeking to appoint a Head of Estate and Facilities to lead and manage the Estate and Facilities function for both ongoing operations and the New Museum project opening in 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity which offers the chance to take a leadership role across a truly unique, atmospheric historic market buildings, at the heart of one of the capital’s most historic and creative quarters, Smithfield. We are looking for an experienced Estate and Facilities management professional to lead and manage the Estate and Facilities function both with regard to the New Museum project and ongoing operations at London Wall and Docklands. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leadership roles across large-scale property and estate portfolios of significant complexity. We are seeking to maximise the potential of our history and brand and the physical environment needs to support this – we are therefore seeking a leader that has demonstrable experience of successfully leading transformation programmes resulting in exceptional estate service provision.
