The Rockland Nationals fell to the wrong side of the win, loss column in November following two consecutive losses to the Renfrew Wolves last week but are maintaining a winning record on the season with three weeks left before the Christmas break. Having defeated the Kemptville 73’s 3-1 , November 22, thanks to two powerplay goals from Samuel Dumont and Kai Stothers, and an empty netter from Jaden Davis, the Nats looked strong heading into a doubleheader weekend against the Renfrew Wolves. The Wolves, sitting 11 points behind the Nats heading into Friday’s game at the Clarence-Rockland arena, quickly fell behind the home side, letting both Trystan-Félix Tremblay and Kai Stothers through in the first period without a response. A different story played out in the second period, however, as the Wolves pushed past the Nats with the leagues’ top scorer Jace Letourneau (on 19 goals heading into the game) putting the visitors on the board 29 seconds into the second period. The Wolves found the back of the net twice more in quick succession at the end of the period, putting the Nats on the back foot. The third period, however, proved less fruitful for both teams as the game ended as the score stood at the end of the second period 3-2 for the Wolves. The following day, Rockland went to

Nats’ Jacob Charron put another up for the visitors, only to have Renfrew counter their gains, scoring two more before time was up and winning the game 7-2, their second biggest win of the season. On Friday, December 1, the Nats head to

Renfrew seeking redemption, but Letourneau was first to the net. Tremblay responded on a powerplay to tie up the score before the close of the first period, 1-1, but it would be but a consolation as the game carried on. The Wolves scored four goals before the

Brockville to take on the Braves, currently the last place team having won just one game so far this season. On Sunday, the Nats stay on the road, facing off against the Carleton Place Canadians who lost to Rockland 7-5 their previous meeting.
