It might be very different from Christmas 2019 but it will be a time to celebrate the birth of Christ. We will all be creative in how we celebrate. We won’t be traveling as much as we did in the past. We won’t be cramming our old relatives and friends into a single room on one day, but perhaps we can all spend some time reaching out to them on different days to make them feel less alone. Innovation is so cutting-edge we can see and hear them with Zoom, Facebook, our mobile phones. What a wonderful gift to offer your older relatives: instead of having them around for a day, you give them the gift of media visits once a week. Make that your present to them, as many of them have been incarcerated for months and are lonely. It can and must be done. We can’t give up or give in to Covid this year.
