JUNGLE BELLS AT THE SAN DIEGO ZOO Be sure to visit and see the zoo aglow with tons of holiday cheer! Located in Balboa Park, just north of Downtown San Diego, the Zoo’s annual Jungle Bells celebration is the perfect spot to take in some of the best Christmas lights and decorations in town. You can even take a ride on the Polar Express or the Twinkle Light Trolley while enjoying holiday music and dance performances. THE FORWARD HOUSE IN BANKERS HILL On the corner of Ivy Street and 1st Avenue in Bankers Hill, the Forward House lights up the
holidays every year. For over 20 years now, the owner, John Olbrich, has been decking the house from head to toe and calls it a Clark Griswold-like display. This is one you won’t want to miss! SOUTH PARK’S LUMINARIA WALKABOUT Check out this light display in San Diego’s historic South Park. Holiday lights, cheer, and decor are on point from 30th and Fern streets all the way to Juniper, Grape, and Beech streets. Every lamp post, tree, shop, and roof is adorned with lights, ribbons, and bows. It’s a perfect time to stroll the area and take in the beauty of the season. 50TH ANNUAL SAN DIEGO BAY PARADE OF LIGHTS A sight to behold, the Parade of Lights is a boat parade featuring over 80 boats decorated with holiday lights and decorations. The parade is on
Dec. 12 and 19, and it’ll be a fun way to get in on the magic of the holidays with the whole family.
CHRISTMAS PARK IN CLAIREMONT A section of Clairemont is dubbed “Christmas Park” because more than 30 homes are beautifully lit up — and it’s surely a sight to see! You can drive through the area along Lana Drive and Jamar Drive with some hot cocoa and take in the sights! Grab your family and friends and head out to see some of the best parts of San Diego lit up for the holiday season! Fun will be had by all!
