Empowering Mothers: The R.I.S.E. Program at Mary Hall Freedom Village
A t Mary Hall Freedom Village (MHFV), we understand the complexities surrounding substance use, especially among pregnant and newly postpartum mothers. That’s why MHFV has developed the innovative R.I.S.E. (Reaching and Intervening with Substance-using moms Effectively) program, tailored specifically to support mothers struggling with substance use during a critical time in their lives. A Unique Approach to Treatment The R.I.S.E. program is specially designed for mothers who are either currently pregnant or have given birth in the last 12 months. Our primary objective is to create an environment conducive to recovery while addressing the unique challenges these women face. To be eligible for this program, participants must be at least 18 years old and hold a primary substance use disorder diagnosis. Furthermore, they must be motivated for long-term treatment and assessed as medically appropriate for daily activities in a treatment setting. Program Highlights
The R.I.S.E. program offers a comprehensive residential treatment experience for up to 12 months. Each participant receives a customized treatment plan that takes into account their individual needs as pregnant or postpartum mothers. Participants also gain access to essential medical and mental health services not only for themselves but for their minor children as well. Additionally, the program recognizes the importance of family involvement and provides opportunities for fathers and family members to access supportive services, ensuring a holistic approach to recovery.
Our wrap-around services extend to cover housing support, education, job placement, and access to other vital resources for up to 12 months, equipping mothers with the tools they need to achieve lasting independence.
