Visit our Executive Chef’s garden and collect your own fresh organic fare, before heading to nearby Meedhoo island to join local farmers in picking seasonal produce. Complete your journey and set sail on a traditional Maldivian night fishing experience. Our expert chefs will prepare your catch with the ingredients picked during the day. Enjoy your handcrafted, organic gourmet feast under the atmospheric pagoda in the Chef’s own garden.

Discover a complete sensory journey in our Villingili Chef’s Garden. Located at the heart of the resort and spreading across 2,600 sqm, the garden showcases a wide selection of home grown produce such as papaya, French beans, tomato, dill, basil, and butternut squash.
Local Farmer’s Co-Operative
Local farmers of fruit and vegetables supply the resort with fresh, organic produce on a weekly basis. The resort’s team has been instrumental in developing a successful business relationship with the farmers, which resulted in the formation of a co- operative society in order to better coordinate their production. For this initiative Shangri-La’s Villingili Resort & Spa, Maldives has been awarded a silver medal at the World Responsible Business Awards.
