T he Women's Empowerment (WE) program, initiated in June 2017, integrates the Gender-Re- sponsive Treatment Model, Healing Trauma by Stephanie Covington, and Seeking Safety by Lisa Najavits to emphasize gender-specific treatment. Malvern Treatment Center's WE program focuses on cultivating strength and resilience among wom- en battling addiction, trauma histories, and co-oc- curring disorders, acknowledging the prevalence of trauma experiences among women in addiction treatment settings.
