Exploring Catalytic Development of the Rail Industry in Selangor 9 September 2021 | Online
Development of a comprehensive rail system and industry in Selangor is a key element in the development of Selangor’s economic ecosystem. MARIC strongly iterated its strong position as a valued-contributor to this e ort during a virtual meeting with the YAB Dato' Seri Haji Amirudin bin Shaari, Chief Minister of Selangor. Points of discussion include MARIC’s readiness to be an important strategic partner to the state’s railway aspirations. This include the creation of a Selangor Rail Council to spearhead rail development as a key component of Selangor's economic growth and success. Since most of the rail companies are already operating in Selangor, the state is well-positioned to be an integrated center of rail economic development. The development of the rail industry could take a leaf from the success story of the aerospace industry in the successful development and application of high-impact technology for the benefit of the country.
