Envisioning a Strong Rail Ecosystem with UMW Holdings Berhad 8 November 2021 | Serendah
MARIC with key rail industry players held discussions with UMW Holdings Berhad on the development of the Selangor Rail Council. Discussions focused on enhancing growth for the state of Selangor, as well as increasing the capacity and capability of the local rail industry with huge opportunities in enhancing the share of high-skill employment, transfer of technology (ToT), the transformation of technology (ToT2) and superior economic infrastructure. Additionally, the linking of federal and state railway development improves connectivity and enhances localisation; hence resulting in a snow-balling e ect with multiplier benefits throughout the state. The discussion also encompasses issues related to the e cient and sustainable management of resources, innovative production of new ideas and products, market expansion and increases in productivity.
