Smart Grid Project - Roundtable Discussion with Melaka Stakeholders 26 October 2021 | Melaka A roundtable discussion was organised by MIGHT, UNITEN and PTHM. It was co-chaired by MIGHT and UNITEN. For the Smart Grid Demo Project, Melaka has been chosen to adopt and integrate sustainable technology applications including solar PV systems, EV charging facilities, energy storage systems, smart meter infrastructure and solar thermal in combatting global warming for sustainable city development. It is therefore crucial to obtain inputs and feedback from the technology contributors. The session was attended by representatives from PTHM, i2 Energy, Universiti Teknikal Malaysia (UTeM), Gading Kencana and Kumpulan Melaka Bhd (KMB).
A high-level engagement session for the development of the Smart Melaka Blueprint (SMB2035) with MIGHT friendly parties was attended by Melaka State Secretary Dato' Ts. Kamel bin Mohamad and Melaka Deputy State Secretary, Datuk Salhah Binti Salleh. It was held with the purpose of garnering feedback on the Smart Melaka Blueprint 2035 as well as insights on areas of prioritisation, execution and the importance of the document’s strategic necessity. This was followed by industry level engagement with Melaka industry players including Honda Malaysia, Invest Melaka, FMM, Mamee-Double Decker and Konica Minolta among others. The industry players expressed hope that SMB2035 will address the digital infrastructure facilities at all industrial zone as an integral part of readiness to support SMB2035 Strategies & Action Plans.
