Smart Grid Presentation Session by UNITEN on SG Regulatory Framework and Policy Inputs to PMU MIGHT 26 October 2021 | Melaka A session was organised to present an outline of SG Regulatory Framework and Policy Inputs by UNITEN to Project Management Unit (PMU), MIGHT. The main objective of this session is to obtain feedback and direction from PMU on deliverables for Smart Grid Regulatory Framework and Policy Inputs. UNITEN shared the scope for the development of the SG Regulatory Framework and Policy Inputs. Two approaches were utilised in developing SG Regulatory Framework and Policy Inputs, i.e. 1. Technical approach based on the SG Architecture Model (SGAM) and 2. Document analysis approach employing Thematic Analysis. The analysis will also adopt a holistic approach including non-technical aspects and also to factor-in economic, social and environmental aspect in the SG Regulatory Framework.
Smart Grid Regulatory Framework and Policy Input Stakeholder Engagements Online An online engagement with prominent stakeholders was conducted in year 2021 with the purpose of obtain- ing feedback in generating valuable input on the proposed Smart Grid Architecture Model (SGAM) and thematic analysis performed on the existing policy and regulatory framework. It is to support the development of Smart Grid Regulatory Framework and Policy Input in the Malaysian context. The engagement involved multiple key stakeholders from Government, Industry and Academia including the Department of Standards Malaysia (DSM), Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Centre (MGTC), Malaysia Automotive Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii), TNB Distribution Network, TNB Grid Co., Ministry of Utilities Sarawak, Sarawak Energy Bhd, Sabah Energy Corporation Sdn Bhd, Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd and University of Malaya Power Energy Dedicated Advanced Centre (UMPEDAC).
