Facility Power Eciency - Solarisation of MIGHT Building It identifies the types of advanced materials, players in the ecosystem and potential business opportunities. The mission of this roadmap is to accelerate the advanced materials technology and industry agenda towards establishing Malaysia as a high-tech nation. Utilising MIGHT’s analysis instruments to access the trends & issues related to advanced materials at global and national levels, the team conducted benchmarking analysis, identified focus sector for advanced materials application and evaluated existing policies, regulation and initiatives prior to the preparation of strategies and action plans for the document. The National Advanced Materials Technology Roadmap 2021-2030 is formulated to be the primary reference document for stakeholders from research institutions, government and government agencies, academicians, and the industry for a period of 10 years, in tandem with the 12MP.
MIGHT in collaboration with Johor Port Authority and TNBX Sdn Bhd completed the Feasibility Study of On Shore Power Supply (OPS) at Port of Tanjung Pelepas. MIGHT provided strategic role as a knowledge partner to perform technical and commercial assessment in deploying the onshore Power Supply (OPS) towards the development of a smart port. The purpose of having OPS at the seaport facility is to provide alternative energy supply to the ships and reduce sulphur emissions from the ships as per the requirements of International Maritime Origanisation (IMO). The feasibility study was completed together with the support of key stakeholders such as Ministry of Transport (MOT), Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP), MAERSK, Evergreen, Cosco, CCM-CGM and other shipping companies.

MIGHT in collaboration with GSPARX Sdn Bhd completed the installation of a 100 kWp solar PV system at MIGHT Partnership Hub. The installation of solar PV system is based on the Supply Agreement Renewable Energy (SARE) and Net Energy Metering (NEM). The installation process was completed within a six-month period with the NEM Commencement Date on 3rd August 2021. The exercise is designed to reduce the operational expenditure, especially electricity usage as well as to demonstrate sustain- able technology application and reduce Greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions.
