MIGHT, together with the Embassy of Finland, collaborated to conduct Smart City Solutions webinar. It was launched by to H.E. Mr. Sami Leino, Ambassador of Finland to Malaysia and saw the participation of over 100 smart city stakeholders and municipalities, both local & internationally. The webinar aimed to share solutions by Finnish companies, highlighted advanced concepts for city planning, sustainable and smart living, energy eciency and smart mobility services integrated with modern ICT technologies.

Dr. Raslan Ahmad represented MIGHT at the ‘APEC 13th SCSC Conference Circular Economy Initiatives by Standards Developing Organisations’ and delivered a presentation entitled ‘Role of Public-Private Partnership in Addressing Marine Debris’. The presentation highlighted the issues of plastic waste management and plastic marine debris in the ocean due to inecient and uncontrolled disposal practices, lack of comprehensive waste management practices and low awareness among the public, among others. MIGHT shared on new mechanisms to address marine debris in a sustainable manner via private public partnership (PPP). The public and private sectors will have a vast number of opportunities to collaborate and thus position the nation’s sustainability eorts to achieve a national goal. Number of partnerships case studies between MIGHT and state governments are deliberated in demonstrating how MIGHT and key partners have established partnership footprints in waste management.
