NATIONAL DEFENCE AND SECURITY INDUSTRY POLICY NDSIP
MIGHT was honoured for the opportunity to be working with both Ministry of Home A airs (MOHA) and Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) in the formulation of the National Defence and Security Industry Policy (NDSIP). NDSIP harmonises the common aspirations of a few government policies that aims to enhance and expand the Defence and Security Industry (DSI) ecosystem. This policy is a catalyst for Malaysia’s defence ecosystem and economic growth. It encompasses a strategy for enhancing research in defence science and technology (S&T), capacity building and funding to boost the growth of local DSI. The development of NDSIP is based on 5 thrusts which includes Human Capital Development, Technology Development, Industrial Development, Towards Self-Reliance and Global Market Penetration with focus on 6 sectors namely, maritime, aerospace, automotive, weaponry, information, and communication technology (ICT) and common-use sectors. NDSIP - An enterprising and sustainable defence and security industry, building towards self-reliance.
