MIGHT and UNITEN conducted the ‘Road to Recovery Webinar’ on ‘Smart Grid and The Drive Towards a High-Tech Nation’. The main objective of this webinar session is to heighten awareness of the Smart Grid project to the public and stakeholders where the panel of experts share their thoughts and insights in accelerating the application of smart grid even during the pandemic. The webinar was moderated Tan Sri Dr Ir. Ahmad Tajuddin Ali, FASc (Joint-Chairman Industry of MIGHT) while the distinguished panelists were Dr Mohd Hari n Boosrah (Managing Director of TNB Research) and Mr Abdul Razib Bin Dawood, Chief Executive O cer (CEO) of Energy Commission. The webinar received 199 registered participants from across multiple sectors including governmental agencies, the academia, private industries, financial entities and higher educational institution. As there is a growing need to proactively deal with issues concerning climate change, MIGHT and Confexhub Group organised the first Global Net-Zero Action 2021 – a virtual summit for in-depth discussion and promotion of the transformation towards net-zero economy. The virtual conference and exhibition was launched by the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources (KASA) – YB Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man and attracted over 200 public and private stakeholders from 22 countries. The conference with over 20 presentations by global renowned experts discussed practical approaches and insights for both the government and private sectors to take actions on their GHG emissions and the implementation of projects, carbon accounting and reporting to deliver GHG emission commitments towards a net-zero economy.
