The 4th edition of Cities 4.0 2021 co-organised by MIGHT and Confexhub, was held virtually from 21 – 22 September 2021 and attracted over 500 attendees from 30 countries. Themed ‘Reimagining City Transformation’, the two-full day conference was o ciated by YB Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican, and covered over twenty presentations ranging from influential technology to urban development leaders under five focused subthemes i.e. urban development in a post pandemic world, low touch economy, healthy mobility, disaster readiness and connected communities. These provided the audience with new insights and strategies to transform their cities post-COVID. A virtual exhibition was also held alongside the event and showcased both international and local companies focusing on advanced technologies and solutions for smart city development. This attracted over 3,000 serious trade visitors sourcing for potential collaboration. Other than the know-how and information gained, participants also were given the opportunity to explore strategic collaboration with potential partners through the business matching activities held.
In conjunction with the Malaysia Urban Forum 2021 organised by Urbanice Malaysia, MIGHT conducted a session on the 'Intersection of Technology, Urbanisation and Pandemic' on 6th September 2021, attended by 150 participants. This webinar discussed best practices for city authorities, communities, and technology companies on becoming highly innovative and responsive to ensure cities are resilient and sustainable. The panelists also talked about digitalisation in urban life for city data analysis, utilising physical and digital infrastructure, and developing a system to connect all information platforms.
