Malaysia Smart Cities Alliance Association (MSCA) 1st October 2021
Malaysia Smart Cities Alliance Association (MSCA) is a platform for deliberation on Smart City’s issues and challenges among members, as well as to create opportunities for networking among the stakeholders across sectors, thus synchronising the initiatives implemented and achieving specific measurable outputs. The alliance was established and launched during World Urban Forum 9 (WUF9) on 13th Feb 2018. It became fully registered under ROS on 9th June 2021 with its 1st AGM conducted on 1st October 2021. Dr. Raslan Ahmad, Senior Vice President of MIGHT currently chairs the association with Mr. Cheng Jew Keng, Chief Operating Ocer, Property Investment, Sunway PFM Sdn Bhd as vice chairman. Vision MSCA holds as its vision a platform for the smart-city stakeholders (smart city leaders and city builders, governments, corporations, entrepreneurs, and academic innovators) in advancing smart cities initiatives and add value to current initiatives in Malaysia. To achieve this MSCA pursues the growth strategies via collaboration in the form of Public Private Partnership (PPP) involving national and international stakeholders. Additionally, it coordinates resources and activities in a thriving economy that creates financial and social growth amongst local businesses and community, through developing innovative, technology-based solutions to current and future challenges towards sustainability.
