D o you believe in magic…Black girl magic, that is? Well, HBCU Times is celebrating the enchanting power of Black girl magic, specifically manifested as HBCU leadership. This month’s issue is all about HBCU Black women presidents - their journeys to presidency and visions for HBCU global success. From navigating their intersectionality as Black women, to leading post-secondary institutions intended to serve historically marginalized students, these presidents are taking on the challenge some might deem impossible. The name Dr. Algenia Freeman may ring a bell, as she holds over 50 years of experience as an education pioneer.
