Despite a bustling membership, our club maintains a quiet and refined ambiance. There might be 200 golfers at the club but you wouldn’t know it. This creates a very special feeling. T1: Can you highlight any notable events or tournaments that have taken place at the club over the years, and what impact they have had on the golfing community in Thailand? The club has a rich history of hosting a diverse range of professional tour events over the years. The tradition began in 1997 with the Asian Honda Classic, which marked Tiger Woods' inaugural victory in Asia. Subsequently, the club's reputation flourished, leading to the hosting of prestigious events such as the Johnnie Walker Super Tour, Volvo Masters Asia, Thailand Open, and most recently, the Aramco Team Series. These tournaments had a profound impact on the golfing community in Thailand, firstly by showing that that Thailand can host the best events in the region with some of the biggest names but also inspired a lot of people to pick up a golf club and learn the game. At the end of the day, we all have a responsibility to grow the game of golf, and inviting the worlds best players to participate creates a great opportunity to do just that. Even today, Thailand remains one of the leading countries in the region for hosting professional golf tournaments. Something we are proud to be a part of. »

T1: Can you describe the history and evolution of the Thai Country Club, and how it has become one of the premier golf destinations in Thailand? Thai Country Club's journey began nearly three decades ago with a vision to create an unparalleled golfing experience, that integrates world class golf facilities with five-star hospitality. The club has achieved many great accolades along the way, not only in the form of awards, but also by achieving a reputation for delivering one of, if not the best overall experiences in Thailand. Thai Country Club is one of the country's most prestigious courses which I have been fortunate enough to play many times. A host of golfing mega stars have also graced the fairways with players such as Tiger Woods, Ernie Els and Gary Player all having played there. We caught up with Jack Hedges, the General Manager to find out a little bit more about the history and what goes on at the club.
