Chi Alpha Sigma
Chi Alpha Sigma was established to recognize college student-athletes who excel both on and off the field of competition. This National College Athlete Honor Society’s goal is to provide outstanding student-athletes with an opportunity to become connected within a fraternal association that aligns their educational and athletic successes for a lifetime. The students who are being inducted into Dean’s Omega Chapter of Chi Alpha Sigma have been selected for membership as a result of their outstanding academic and athletic achievements at Dean. Criteria for membership include being a student-athlete who receives a varsity letter in their sport while earning a 3.4 or higher cumulative grade point average.

National Honor Society for Dance Arts
The National Honor Society for Dance Arts (NHSDA) Collegiate Program is designed to honor the accomplishments of outstanding students studying dance. NHSDA exists to encourage exploration of dance education pedagogy, choreography, performance, research, community outreach and advocacy in the context of a broad dance program and to develop future leaders in the field of dance arts education and performance. To be eligible for membership in NHSDA, a student must be a student member of the National Dance Education Organization, have achieved at least a 3.5 grade point average at time of induction, and have accrued 45 points in each of three major strands of the NHSDA National Collegiate Point System with a minimum of six out of 10 total categories pertaining to Artistic Merit, Leadership and Academic Achievement.

ALPHA SIGMA LAMBDA HONOR SOCIETY
Alpha Sigma Lambda’s aim is to recognize the special achievements of adults who achieve academic excellence while facing competing interests of home and work. Alpha Sigma Lambda is dedicated to the advancement of scholarship and recognizes high scholastic achievement in an adult student’s career. The students who are being inducted into the Delta Beta Chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda have been selected for membership as a result of their outstanding academic achievements and their conduct in the Dean community. Criteria for membership include being a part-time student in an associate or bachelor’s degree program and being in the top 20% of their graduating class. For these inductees, this meant having a near perfect cumulative grade point average as well as demonstrating good citizenship while enrolled as a part-time student at Dean College.

Golden Key International Honour Society
The mission of the Golden Key International Honour Society is to support and award its members’ drive to learn, lead and help others. The students who are being inducted into Dean College’s Golden Key Chapter have been selected for membership as a result of their outstanding academic achievements and their conduct in the Dean community. Criteria for membership include being a full-time student in a bachelor’s degree program, being in the top 15% of the junior and senior classes, having at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, and demonstrating good citizenship while enrolled as a full-time student at Dean College.

Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society
The purpose of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society is to recognize and encourage academic achievement among two-year college students. The students who are being inducted into Dean’s Upsilon Zeta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa have been selected for membership as a result of their outstanding academic achievements and their conduct in the Dean community. Criteria for membership include a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 as well as demonstration of good citizenship while enrolled as a full-time student at Dean College.

Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society
Founded in 1923 at the University of Illinois, Phi Eta Sigma is the nation’s oldest and largest honor society for first-year college and university students in all disciplines. Since its founding, Phi Eta Sigma chapters have been chartered on college campuses across the United States, with more than a million scholars inducted into Phi Eta Sigma. Phi Eta Sigma has at its foundation a dedication to leadership, a devotion to students, and an enthusiastic commitment to service. Criteria for membership include being a full-time student in a bachelor’s degree program, having completed at least 12 credits, having at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average and demonstrating good citizenship while enrolled as a full-time student at Dean College.
