FAVORITE CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL
HARDING FINE ARTS ACADEMY EDUCATING FOR LIFE BEYOND THE CLASSROOM. Harding Fine Arts Academy is a tuition-free public charter school in Oklahoma City, preparing students in grades 6 through 12 for college through an academically chal- lenging, arts-integrated education. Founded in 2005, it occupies the historic Harding school building.
Students explore visual arts, photog- raphy, graphic design, dance, drama, martial arts, debate, music, and other electives alongside core academics and Advanced Placement coursework. The Oklahoma A+ model emphasizes experiential learning, collaboration, multiple pathways, and enriched assessment. Concurrent enrollment is available through OSU-OKC and the University of Science & Arts of Okla- homa. Seniors complete a Capstone class focused on college applications, financial aid, and scholarships.
Harding began with approximately 85 ninth-grade students and later expand- ed to include a middle school. Its 1924 building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012, and the Academy became its sole occupant in 2019. The school reports a 99% graduation rate and $3.9 million in awarded scholarships, while its counseling office helps students pursue college, career tech, and scholarships.
