Hope Community Services and Family & Children’s Services Partner to Strengthen Oklahoma Communities
Oklahoma City’s Hope Community Services and Tulsa’s Family & Children’s Services (FCS) have completed a merger years in the making, creating a stronger statewide network of care. Together, the organizations form a $208 million behavioral health system with nearly 1,800 employees, more than 70 programs, 12 locations and over 30 community-based service sites throughout Oklahoma. Services will include mental health care, substance use treatment, crisis support, child and domestic
abuse prevention, and specialized programs for children, families, veterans and older adults. “The merger with FCS allows us to combine our strengths and expand access to critical services for children and families throughout central Oklahoma,” says Heather Helberg, president of Hope. “FCS has built a highly effective, school-based model in northeast Oklahoma, and we look forward to exploring how that success can help meet the needs of students and families in our area. Together, we are creating a stronger statewide network dedicated to advancing the mental health and well-being of Oklahomans.” The combined organization will continue building on a shared mission of providing community-based care while increasing support for individuals and families. “We believe everyone deserves access to care, regardless of their circumstances,” says Helberg. “We’re strengthening the social safety net and helping more Oklahomans find stability, hope, and a pathway back to thriving in their communities.” Learn more at fcsok.org/fcs-hope-merger.
