Fencing - Beginner Instructor: Fred Sims
Young Tennis Stars Instructor: David Cole, Varsity Tennis Coach This fun class introduces kids to the basics of stroke production, agility, balance and coordination. Age appropriate racquets, nets and junior balls are used to ensure immediate success. Class meets 2 days per week.
This course will teach the basics of foil fencing. Easy to learn, the sport teaches courage, quick thinking and perseverance. The course is taught by Fred Sims a certified fencing instructor by the United States Fencing Coaches Association. All fencers will be required to wear masks during class. All equipment will be furnished by Mr. Sims. A $25 equipment fee, payable by check will be due the first class. Parents are encouraged to stay and observe the class. Class limit is 10 students. Fencing - Advanced Instructor: Fred Sims
Youngsters will develop their skills and learn how to rally back and forth. Students gain confidence, experience and participate in fun games. Class meets 2 days per week.
This class is for fencers who have taken the beginner class three times with one year’s experience and who wish to compete in local tournaments. Fencers may also choose a second weapon type and use electric scoring equipment. Equipment will be furnished by Mr. Sims but fencers will be encouraged to buy own equipment. The equipment rental fee is $25 payable at first class. Class limit is 10 students. Whether you want to get ready for the season, tournaments or just enjoy tennis this is the class for you. We will be focusing on stroke development and tennis strategy using drills and match play. Beachwood Bison Soccer Academy Beachwood Recreation is proud to partner with the Beachwood Board of Education and the Shaker Youth Soccer Association to provide this quality soccer program in our community. One weekly practice and the option between a Saturday or Sunday game encouraging skill and tactical development. There are no tryouts and we strive to provide every player substantial playing time. Players are also given the opportunity to play in different positions. Grades: Boys & Girls 1-6 | Session Length: April 17 - June 4 Registration Deadline: March 24 Choice of Saturday or Sunday league games. The Saturday league will play 1-2 Sunday games as well.
