Delightful, Delicious & De-lovely! We are heading to Rabbit Run Theater for the hilarious shipboard romp wrapped in one of Cole Porter’s most magical scores. Full of mistaken identities, hidden romance and hijinks galore, Anything Goes, is musical entertainment at its best. Savor a delightful, delicious and de-lovely evening. Enjoy a chicken parmesan dinner before the show at Ferrante’s Winery. Board school transportation at the Pepper Pike Learning Center at 4:30 PM. There are no cancellations after May 30. The Three Rivers Arts Festival is back and in a new location! Join us as we head to the Cultural District of Pittsburgh for its signature art event featuring more than 250 artists and crafters. View the many art displays and enjoy live entertainment, from live bands to buskers. Grab lunch at one of the many food vendors that surround the area. Then we are off for Rivers Casino, where you can try your luck with the slots or take a leisurely stroll around the casino. You will enjoy $20 in free slot play and $5 for food at the casino. Ann Arbor Day Trip Spend the day in Ann Arbor as we visit the amazing Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, The Guild’s Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair and Ann Arbor State Street Art Fair all on the University of Michigan campus. With over 900 artists you are sure to see something different! Dress comfortably and be prepared to be outside rain or shine, hot or cold. Lunch and dinner are on your own. Transportation included. Hartville Day Trip The Hartville Marketplace & Flea Market is our destination for Monday, June 12! A variety of shops from bathing suits to wallets, candies to art await you. We will have the opportunity to go to the infamous hardware store too! Lunch is on your own be it at Sarah’s Market and Fresh Grill, Hartville Kitchen, or yummies along the way. Chautauqua Institution Day Trip Kwame Alexander makes his Chautauqua debut in a week dedicated to “The Life of Literature” — at all ages. He is a poet, educator, publisher and New York Times bestselling author, co-author or editor of nearly 40 books, mostly for young readers, including Swing; Becoming Muhammad Ali, co-authored with James Patterson; Rebound, which was shortlisted for prestigious UK Carnegie Medal; The Caldecott Medal and Newbery Honor- winning picture book The Undefeated, illustrated by Kadir Nelson; and the Newbery Medal-winning middle grade novel, The Crossover. He is a regular contributor to NPR’s “Morning Edition” and serves as NPR’s poet-in-residence. He is currently the creator/executive producer of “The Crossover” TV series on Disney+, and in July 2022, it was announced that Alexander will serve as the executive producer of a new reality show, “America’s Next Great Author,” which is dedicated to “including writers who aren’t normally given a seat at the table in mainstream publishing,” according to the show’s website. After this morning lecture we will mosey over to The Athenaeum for lunch. Includes transportation, full day gate pass, lunch and snacks. Driver’s gratuity not included.
