CREATING A THANKSGIVING CHILDREN’S TABLE • Use butcher paper as a tablecloth or table runner, and provide crayons for drawing. Print off Thanksgiving-themed coloring sheets to place at each table setting to keep kids entertained. • Create festive and inexpensive chargers by hot gluing artificial fall leaves to round placemats. • Cut leaves out of cardstock, punch a hole, and tie them with a ribbon. Place the leaves around the table for the kids to write what they are thankful for. Use a tree branch as a centerpiece, and let the kids hang their leaves from it. • Melamine plates are a good alternative to China for kids. They come in a variety of festive colors and prints and are a step up from paper plates without the fear of breakage.
