Tilly , 28, has recently achieved her goal of becoming a homeowner, purchasing a 40% share of her one bedroom apartment thanks to shared ownership and Guinness Homes. A neutral kitchen, bathroom and living area has allowed me to add furniture and accessories to make my home my own. I have one bedroom, bathroom and a kitchen and lounge area. I’m on the ground oor, so I have a patio with a lovely outside courtyard space, which is a gorgeous sun trap in the summer months! The space gets plenty of sunlight, creating a calm space for when I’m working from home.” Tilly explains that buying through shared ownership meant she didn’t have to compromise on location. “I wouldn’t have been able to afford to live in Bristol without shared ownership,” she concludes.
