ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION Learners will gain the skills and knowledge to carry out job roles and responsibilities associated with the electrical installation industry. ON SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION LEARNERS WILL HAVE ACHIEVED THE INDUSTRY DESIRED LEVEL OF COMPETENCE REQUIRED TO CARRY OUT THE SPECIFIC ROLES. COURSE OVERVIEW Throughout your study you will cover a number of specialist subject areas including:  Health and safety legislation  Environmental legislation  Practices, procedures and design  Scientific principles  Inspection and testing  Fault finding and diagnosis  Design and installation  Planning and overseeing electrical work  Terminating and connecting  Wiring regulations BS7671 LENGTH The apprenticeship will take 48 months. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS You will need to have achieved GCSEs at grade 4 or above (or comparable qualification) in English and maths. Please note, you will also be required to undertake an initial assessment prior to enrolment in order to assess your current level of English and maths. Your interviewer will discuss with you what minimum level you will need to achieve at initial assessment. You must be employed with a suitable employer and have all relevant contractual documentation in place prior to college enrolment. Employers will also set their own interview in addition to the college criteria.

Whilst your technical skills and knowledge will develop over the course of your apprenticeship you will also need to demonstrate to potential employers that you possess the relevant skills and personal qualities and are willing to work and learn. PROGRESSION Fully-qualified Electrical Installer. Qualify for full CSCS and AGS card and ability to work on domestic and commercial sites in England. Possible progression on to managerial/supervisory roles and other apprenticeships. COURSE CODE: P8773
