Express Inhibitor dip test is quick and easy to use and will instantly indicate whether the system water is fully protected with inhibitor. The Fernox Water Test App manages and logs the results of laboratory tests.

I n order to keep central heating systems working at their optimum efficiency, BS 7593:2019 recommends checking inhibitor levels annually and conducting a laboratory test of the system water every five years. This is reinforced by the Benchmark Commissioning Checklist, which asks whether the system inhibitor concentration has been checked and if appropriate action has been taken in accordance with BS 7593:2019. To ease the on-site testing process, Fernox has launched the Express Inhibitor Test. This dip test is quick and easy to use and will instantly indicate whether the system water is fully protected with inhibitor. Simply dip the test strip provided into the system water and within seconds, it will change colour. Next, compare the test strip to the colour chart on the bottle - a fully protected system will have inhibitor levels of 100ppm or above. If the dip test shows less than 100ppm, dose the system with a high-quality inhibitor like Fernox Protector F1 to provide on-going protection. Due to the speed of the Express Inhibitor Test, installers can re- dose the system there and then, meaning they do not have to make a return trip to site. Once the dip test is completed, installers

can log and manage the results using the Fernox Water Test App. To record each test, use the in-app camera function to take a picture of the test strip and colour chart and upload the colour details of the test strip. The app will then log the pass or fail result and provide a digital certificate that can be used as evidence that the test has been conducted. If the test result fails, installers can also demonstrate that action was subsequently taken to receive a pass result. The Fernox Water Test App can also be used to manage and log the results of laboratory tests. Using the Fernox Water Quality Test kit,

App within 24-48 hours of receipt of the sample and providing a full diagnostic report – including how to remedy any issues. With Fernox, testing the central heating system in line with BS 7593:2019 and the Benchmark Commissioning checklist is quick and easy. The Fernox Water Test App means that installers can keep a record of all tests and the results in one, easy to access place. installers can take a sample of the system water. Using the Fernox Water Test App, scan the QR code on the bottle before posting it free of charge to the Fernox laboratory. Here, the technicians will conduct an analysis of key system water parameters, before returning pass or fail results via the Fernox Water Test
