SPIRIT-FILLED LIFE from page 7 very difficult to think of the body as being there also. Where is your spiritual home? Oh, from this time on, make Romans 8 your habitual residence! Now, let us take a glimpse at Romans 8 to see whether we want it for our home. We read in Romans 8:1 of “no condemnation.” In Adam we were a part of that old trinity,

IN CHRIST IS LIFE

What Is Your Burden? fl^he story is told of a young student at Harvard who failed I to turn in his assignment. Confronted by his gray-haired processor the young man said, “ I didn’t feel well, Sir. I just couldn’t do it.” The professor said, “Did it ever occur to you that 95 per cent of all the accomplishments in this world were done by people who didn’t feel well?” That’s true. You know it’s true. It is not unusual to not feel well. Physically, mentally, spiritually all of us are subject to burdens that rob us of well-feeling. The problem is not that we have burdens but rather is how we handle them. Some of us try to carry yesterday’s burdens, today’s burdens and t o -. morrow’s burdens all at once. Jesus Christ said, “ Take there fore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” Forget yesterday; do not anticipate tomorrow. It is today’s burden, your burden this day, that is to be dealt with. How then can today’s burden be dealt with? You know yourself too well to believe you can do anything with it. And others often don’t understand. In fact there may not be an other person in the world who really cares about your burden. There'is only one answer. And that answer is Jesus Christ. It is as simple as that. But He will not help you with your burden until your relationship with Him is right. You don’t have to be told that there is sin in your life. Any honest per son knows that. And you know that something must be done about that sin before you can be right with God. Don’t try to deal with sin, your sin, yourself. You can’t do it. But Jesus Christ can. That is the reason He came to earth. He died on the cross for your sin. “ For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Christ is the solution for your burden of sin. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Trust Him to save your seeking, struggling soul and im mediately He will take over all of your burdens. “ Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Hear Him say to your heart, “ Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” He is asking for the opportunity to deal with your burden today. And you know you need His help. But you must ask Him. He will not force Himself upon'you. “ Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Open your heart’s door this moment and find that in Christ is life. — L. YOUR MINISTRY • Christ said, "Ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jeru salem, and in all Judaea, and Samaria, and unto the utter most part of the earth." This is God's program. You can be a witness today by giving or sending the In Christ Is Life column to an unsaved person.

the devil, the world and the flesh. There it is all condemnation. But the moment we cross that great di vide, we are in Christ, in the Church, and in the Spirit, where there is no condemnation. Oh, do you not want to be in this new sphere?- Then at the end of the chapter we read, “There is no separation.” Those who are in Christ Jesus are never, never— in time or in eternity—separated from the love of God in Christ. Do you not want to be there? Understanding the Secret of Victory I was in a home where there was a 14-year-old daughter. She was one of the most spiritually minded per sons I have ever met in my life. As she and her father went together one evening to a meeting where I was speaking, the father sat there with his forehead all screwed up into a knot. What was that woman talking about anyhow? Oh, he was a member of the church. But what was it all about? He did not have the slightest understanding, I think, of what was said that evening. His young daugh ter sat by his side with her eyes like two great glowing stars and a face that was such an inspiration to me that I did not want to look at any other person. She was drinking in every word that was said, with spirit ual apprehension and response. When they got home that night, the father said to the mother, “ I don’t think Kirsten ought to go to any more of the meetings. I am sure she does not understand them at all.” Little Kirsten could not help reply ing, “Daddy, I do understand. I have been crucified with Christ. I am iden tified with Him in His death and resurrection. I do know what it is to be a new creation in Christ.” CONTINUED ►
