Round-Up
BY BRIAN RODAK
Long days, handfuls of cigars and stronger relationships are memories we all will walk (or hobble) away with after four days of PCA. A time for the industry to come together in one city and reconnect with colleagues, partners, good friends, and even our competitors; PCA may be about cigars and business, but a bigger piece of the experience is the partnerships. No matter what side of the fence you’re on, from manufacturing to buying, to sales and marketing, handshakes and laughter are always present. Of course,
there are the dinners, drinks, and darn good cigars, but this type of camaraderie in the midst of such a solid community and industry really makes all the difference. Taking a step back – This was my first trip to PCA which was preceded by my first week in my new role within the Purchasing and Merchandising team with JR Cigars. I've attended other industry trade shows, such as TPE, but PCA has always been on my to- do list. I’ve always wanted to see what all the buzz and talk was about.
