ORLD 350 Management Information Systems (3) Students examine the formal and infor­ mal functions of organizations and analyze an agency or organization based on a sys­ tems model. Students will also analyze and solve organizational problems using a step­ by-step approach. This analysis will be ap­ plied to student's Senior Thesis. ORLD 360 Statistical Methods and Research (3) Problem analysis and evaluation tech­ niques are presented. Students are shown methods for defining, researching, analyz­ ing, and evaluating a problem they would solve in their work or avocational environ­ ment. Specific statistical information cov­ ered in the course includes identifying and measuring objectives, collecting data, work­ ing with significance levels, analyzing vari­ ance, and constructing questionnaires.

ORLD 240 Personal Assessment and Life Planning (2) In this course, individual learning styles are measured and investigated as a basis for preparation of a life learning portfolio which may earn the student up to 30 units of aca­ demic credit In conjunction with this project, the IDAK Career Match instrument is taken to facilitate the formation of realistic personal and career goals. In addition, a variety of class projects probe various aspects of effec­ tive individual decision-making processes.

Students will explore the key elements of the human resource management function from personnel planning and forecasting through the search and selection process, compensation, orientation, performance evaluation, training and degree, corrective action programs and termination. Specific attention will be given as to how biblical principles impacting relationships with peo­ ple should be interwoven throughout the human resource management process. This seminar is designed to identify bib­ lical concepts that provide a basis in special revelation for human relationships and in­ terpersonal communication. Attention will be given to the biblical description of human beings as designed and created by God, the nature and consequences of the fall and the impact of salvation and sanctifi­ cation on human beings. ORLD 320 Symposium II (1) Specific passages illustrating various as­ pects of interpersonal communication taken largely from Old Testament wisdom literature Oob, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon) and selected NewTestamentpas­ sages will be studied and their practical impli­ cations for interpersonal communication dis­ cussed. Case studies will be considered and evaluated in the light of material from both general and special revelation.

Ethical theories and personal values are examined through readings, analysis of the workplace and classroom discussion. ORLD 470 Senior Thesis I (2) The student is assisted in selecting a topic, the use of a computerized data base, research techniques and writing. The Bible is a prima­ ry resource in the research which is related to a specific issue, problem or opportunity. ORLD 480 Senior Thesis II (3) 'This final portion of the Senior Thesis gives the student opportunity to present a written document detailing the conclusions and recommendations to include an oral pre­ sentation to the faculty member and students.

ORLD 370 Interpersonal Communication (3)

This module investigates communication and relationships in creating a productive work environment. Effectiveness in person­ al and social relationships is also covered through readings and exercises concerning non-verbal feedback, dealing with anger, and resolving conflict. Students develop a model for effective relationships. ORLD 380 Managerial Accounting (3) An overview of financial tools available to the manager in decision-making. Includes a study of income statements, balance sheets, cash flow, budgets, changes in financial posi­ tion and ratio analysis. Emphasis is on read­ ing and understanding accounting docu­ ments rather than upon their preparation.

ORLD 330 God's Person and the Believer's Responsibility (3)

A consideration of God's Person, exist­ ing as one God, yet manifested in three Persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit and the believer's responsibility to the Church, Christ's body, as well as to the world at large as an agent of reconciliation in God's broader kingdom program in the end times . ORLD 340 Group and Organizational Behavior (3) 'This module is a study of group behavior and how groups function effectively. Emphasis is placed on decision making and resolving conflict in groups. Students develop strategies for efficient and productive group management and determine which tasks are handled by groups or individuals. The Senior Thesis is begun in week three of this module.

ORLD 410 Biblical Concepts Seminar Ill ( 1)

The role of special revelation formulat­ ing ethical values with focus on biblical principles with relevance for organizations. An examination of fundamental moral prin­ ciples and their cultural expression as well as the biblical basis for values and morality. ORLD 420 Symposium Ill (1) Case studies in the meaning of God, man and life with relevance to ethical choices in our professional and personal lives.
