SCHOOL OF THEOLOGY Research Languages RL 711 ELEMENTS OF ECCLESIASTICAL LATIN (3) Basic grammar, syntax and vocabulary of the Larin language with a view toward reading ecclesiastical texts. Elective. RL 712 SELECTED READINGS IN ECCLESIASTICAL LATIN (2) Representative selections from Latin eccles iastical texts, including liturgical, didactic and confess ional writings. Samples will be drawn from patristic, med ieval and Renaissance/ Reformation Larin writers. Prerequisites: LG 7 l1 o r permission of the instructor.

Thesis There are two consecutive thesis semi­ nars for those electing to write a thesis (Thesis First Draft and Thesis Final Draft). These seminars arc taken during the stu­ dent's last year. During the third semester before graduation, the student must, with the approval of his major advisor, select a thesis subject, do research, and develop an outline and bibliography. During the fina l year, the thesis can be written in conjunc­ tion with these two courses. See the Talbot student handbook and library handbook for dates, deadlines and requirements.
