Jordan, '36, is Assistant Su­ perintendent of the Sailors’ Rest Mis­ sion sponsored by the Christian En­ deavor Union at 430 South Beacon, San Pedro, Calif. He began his work at the Mission in June of 1939. Lawrence D. (’39) and Mrs. Powell (Meta Schroeder,' ’39) have moved to Le Rose, Ky., to do Sunday-school work in a church building which in recent years has had only occasional church services. On Sunday mornings they are continuing their Sunday-school at Chestnut Gap, hiking four or five miles each way. » Edward L. Nash, 40, and William H. Lewis, ’39, have been attending West­ mont College, Los Angeles, Calif., and have been doing deputation work as members of a trumpet trio known as the Westmont Trumpeters* Mr. Nash is the announcer, and Mr. Lewis pre­ sents an object lesson in connection with the program.

Grace Bobbins, Route 1, Box 470, Lemon Grove, Calif., besides holding Child Evangelism classes, has been as­ sisting her mother, Mrs. Clara C. Rob­ bins, in preparing and distributing radio logs listing gospel programs that are true to the Word o f God. The work is a faith work and makes available radio logs for various parts of the country. Lester F. Wendt, B. Th. ’36, after four and a half years as pastor of Trinity Congregational Church, Los Angeles, Calif., has gone to the pastorate of the Calvary Baptist Church, Brawley, Calif. Chester White, formerly of the Field Department at Biola, is pastor of the Presbyterian Church at Brawley. Cutler B. (’25) and Mrs. Whitwell ('26), representing the Old Fashioned Revival Hour, have been holding evan­ gelistic meetings in eastern cities. In April they were scheduled to speak at the Summer Bible School Conference held at the Bible Presbyterian Church of Chester, Pa., where they enjoyed re­ newing their contact with Jack Murray (Biola, ’33), who is Youth Director there. At Baltimore, Md., where two members of the church had provided for Mr. and Mrs. Whitwell’s entertain­ ment in one of the finest hotels in the city, they found opportunities to give Testaments to the waiters.
