CAREER AND LEARNING ASSISTANCE SERVICES The Caree r and Learning Assistance Service offers a va ri- etyof se rYi ces and programs to Biola students. Career Development Career sen1ces include personal career counseling, interest tes ti ng, career-related workshops, internships, reference files, career days and career exploration workshops. Acomputerized career-guidance program known as SIG! Plus is avai lable to all students at no cost. The center has a resource libraiy comaining information about internships and jobs, company descriptions, graduate programs, and career paths related to majors offered at Bi ola. Students may receive personal ass istance fromstudent peer counselors or make an appoinu11ent to see a career cou11- selor. An sen1ces are available to alumni. Learning Assistance Learning Assistance Sen,ices provide programs LO assist students ir. becoming effec tive and intenti onal learners in order to mee t the academic demands of the Un iversity. Pro- grams include individual and group llltoring (at a nominal fee) fo r most general education courses, a non-credit study skills course and a "bridge" supplemental instruction program fo r first-semester students.
