The course emphasizes Christian chinking and analysis of both issues and solutions that are work­ able, incellectuall y viable and con­ sistent with biblical mnh . Studen t, examine group and organizational behavior case studies chat demon­ strate the methods and difficulties of integration and application . 240 Foundations of Lifelong Learning (2) Examination of ad ult learning theories with a n emphasis on strategies for lifelong learning. Lesson plan development and presentat ion skills necessary for personal and professional devel­ opment will he discussed. 290 Practicum (1-8) l'orcfnlio-hased assessment of college- leve l technical and pro­ fessional training char reflects theory, data collection and analy­ sis. and appli cation such that ir advances student mastery of the principles and practices of organi­ zational leadership. Attention is given ro human beings as designed and created by God, the conseq uences of the fall , a nd the impact of redemption . Case stud ies and stu­ dent experiences are discussed. 330 Theology and the Christian Life (3) A consideration of God's Person. existing as one God, yet mani­ fested in three Persons, and the believer's responsibility to the C hurc h, C hrist ' s body , and the world at large as an agent of rec-

340 onciliation in God ' s kingdom program in the end times. Group and Organizational Behavior (3) A scudy of group behavior and how gro ups function effectively. Emphasis is placed on group deci­ sion making and conflict resolution. Strategies are developed for deter­ mining which casks should be han­ dled by groups or individuals, and for increasing efficient and produc­ tive gro up management. The Senior Project is begun in week three of this module. Fee: $183. Management Information Systems (3) 350 360 Srndents become acquainted with contemporary information systems technology. and explore manage­ ment techniques and strategies which . combined with technolo­ gies, produce effecti ve solutions co organizational problems. Personal compucer skills are also enhanced. Statistical Methods and Research (3) Problem analysis and eva luacion techniques are presented. Students are shown methods for defining, researching. analyzing, and evaluat­ ing problems they would solve in their work environment. Specific scariscical information covered in the course includes identifving and measu ring objectives. collect in g data. working with significance lev­ els , analyzing variance, and con­ structing questionnaires. Interpersonal Communication (3) 370 380 Study of how communication and relationships contribute to produc­ ti ve work env ironments. Effective personal and social relationships are also investigated through read­ ings and exercises concern ing non­ verbal feedback , anger manage­ ment, and conflict resoluti on. Managerial Accounting (3) An overview of financial tools avai labl e for management deci­ sion-making. Major course com­ ponents in c lude income state­ ments, balance sheets, cash flow, budget~. changes in financial posi­ tion and ratio anal ysis. Emphasis is on reading and understanding accounting documents rather than upon their preparation. MINISTRY LEADERSHIP MAJOR PROGRAM DESCRIPTION The Ministry Leadership major within the Biola Organiza­ tional Leadership Degree (BOLD) program is an undergrad­ uate program for individuals who are cu rre ntl y involved in ministry or preparing for mid-career transi­ tions ro local church management and support roles with mission and parachurch organ izations.
