Preparation for the oral and writ­ ten portions of the licensing exam in the state of California is also given emphasis. The challenge to integrate a professional , Christian , and personal ethical code is dis­ cussed. Issues addressed include ca reer satisfac­ tion , professional decorum, inter­ disciplinary relationships and therapist impairment and burnout, and steps involved in developing and maintainin g a clinical practice. Elective. SPY 707 Fee For Service (1-3) This course offers scudents the option of flourishing in private practice without subsidy from managed care. Students learn to: (a) place a monetary va lue on their clinical services. (b) examine their own family histories conce rning mon ey, and (c) formulate a mi s­ sion statement abom what they're offering clients in outpatient psy­ chotherapy.
