Students who wish to take TOEFL should ohtain the TOEFL Bulletin of Information. Cories of this hulletin and the registration form may he obtained in a numher of cities outside the Un ited States. They often are availahle at Amer­ ican embassies and consulates, offices of the United States Information Service (USIS), United States educational com­ missions and foundations abroad, and bi national centers. (TESOL minors must have a score of 550 parer/213 computer.) A stu­ dent may suhmir an SAT I score for ad mission instead of a TOEFL score. Students who score helow 480 on the SAT ver­ bal test and helow 600 rarer/250 computer on the TOEFL are required to take the Biola English Placement Exam (BEPE). English Placement The Biola Engli sh Placement Exam (BEPE ) is admini s­ tered to determine which course(s) (E nglish 100, IOI, 102, I 03, I 05 , 107 or I 09) , if any, students must take. The course(s) must he taken during the student 's first semester until the s tud ent has successfully rassed th e English Derarrment Exit Tes t (EDET). There will be a late make-ur fee of $ 15 when rlacement exams are nor taken during orientation week of the student's first semester. Since admission to th e Uni ve rsity is hased on the unde r­ standing that the student will successfully complete the ELSP sequence, students will not he allowed to graduate or continu e at Biola if they do not com rlete their ELSP requirement.
