CAMPUS SAFETY Biola ' s Department of Campus Safety has a genuine con­ cern for the safety of individual students and the Biola com­ munity as a whole. Campus Safety ' s primary responsibility is to protect a ll those indi vidual s associated with Biola Uni­ ve rsity and their property, as well as the property of the Uni­ versity itse lf. Trained officers are on duty 24 hours a day. The Campus Safety Department offers special se rvices such as a campus escort service, a rape prevention program, bi cyc le regi stration service and Operation Identifi ca ti on (engra ving of personal property for positive identification in case of theft) throughout the yea r. Vehicle registration, traf­ fic control. building security, assistance in med ical emergen­ c ies and uni ve rsity switchboard are additional services han­ dl ed by this department. Recognizing that a Christian uni ­ ve rsity is not exempt from crime and danger, students are asked to use common sense and caution in every aspect of th e ir activities. Computers, computer programs and a laser primer are available for stu­ dent use. These services are available to all Biola students. LEARNING ASSISTANCE SERVICES Learning Assistance Services provides programs which assist students in becoming effective and intentional learners in order to meet the academic demands of the University.
