and Graduation Requirements
COMMENCEMENT All degree requirements must be completed before the stu- dent may participate in commencement ceremonies. Those who complete their degree requirements dming interterm or summer session must register in a nonresident status for -!he following semester, with graduation scheduled at the time of the next commencement. In such cases no tuition is charged. It is expected that all graduating students will be present at commencement ceremonies except in cases of extreme emergency or other similarly difficult circumstances. GRADUATION RATE DISCLOSURE Of the full-time , degree-seeking, first-time freshmen who entered Biola University in Fall 1991 , 61 % continued their enrollment in Fall 1993. This enrollment persistence rate is used to est imate the number of graduates from the 1991 incoming-freshmen class who may complete their degrees by l996-97. Some of our undergraduate major programs which contain our largest enrollments are the longer programs, which take five years to complete. This means that many of our 1991 freshmen will not graduate until 1996-97.
