TRANSFER CREDIT Cou rses from other accredited colleges and universities will be considered for transfer to Biola University only if a minimum of a "C" (2 .00 GPA) was received . Coursework previously taken at Biola may be considered toward the degree program. GRADUATION HONORS Students who have earned a minimum of 45 graded units at Biol a University and who have completed their Biola coursework with a 3.95 GPA are graduated with high honors. Those with a 3.85 GPA are graduated with honors. GPA standards for honors must be met with no rounding of numbers. CERTIFICATE PROGRAM The Certificate in Organ izational Leadersh ip is designed for working adults with at least 5 years of work experience in a management or supervi sory position. The program is for those who desire to benefit from the interdisciplinary major without necessarily pursuing a bac­ calaureate degree. Students will be a part of the cohort group while completing 28 units of required coursework. Classes will be taken for academic credit (not pass/ fail) Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive a Certificate in Organizational Leader­ ship.Those who desire to earn a baccalaureate degree will need to complete all the requirements for the degree program including general education, Bible, major and electives. Per-unit tuition is the same as the degree program. Twenty-eight un its of coursework which include: ORLD 210,310,330, 340,350,360,370,380,410,430,440,450, and 490 are required for the cert ificate.

Adult Degree Programs

Program Description The Adult Degree Programs consist of upper-division course work designed specifically to enable motivated adults to earn college degrees, often while working full time. It is a convenient alternative for individuals whose life circumstances or vocational roles make enrollment in traditional weekday educational prog rams difficult or impossible.

Three majors are offered Organizational Leadership, Ministry Leader­ ship, and Psychology.

Courses are offered in La Mirada as well as at an expanding list of educational centers which include: Chino Inglewood Orange County Palm Desert Thousand Oaks San Diego County Admission Requirements Applicants must have completed approximately 50-60 semester hours of transferable college credit at accredited community col­ leges, colleges and universities with a minimum 2.25 GPA to be con­ sidered for acceptance to the program. Applicants who do not meet these standards will be assessed by the Admissions Committee on a case-by-case basis. Applicants with fewe r than SO semester hours may be accepted in the pre-degree program. Transferable units can include credit via the high school Advanced Placement (AP) program and the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) as well as some forms of professional, military, and technical training. A complete application must be submitted and the application fee must be paid. Official transcripts from every institution previously attended must be sent directly from those institutions to the Biola University Adult Degree Program office or to the BOLD Educational Center office where the applicant pla ns to attend classes.

Official documents presented fo r admission or evaluation become part of the student's academic file and normally cannot be returned or copied for distribution.

Note:

CREDIT FOR PRIOR LEARNING Undergraduate students at Biola University frequently are granted academic credit through the evaluation of college level technical and professional training as well as learning that has been acquired through life experience. Credit is awarded by university faculty.
