JANUARY EXPRESS 2026

CLUB MANAGEMENT

LOOKING AHEAD

Hau'oli Makahiki Hou!

I hope everyone is off to a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2026. This is an especially meaningful year for The Pacific Club as we celebrate our 175th anniversary, a remarkable milestone for our community. As we begin this celebratory year, I want to share some of the key initiatives underway to position the Club for continued success. The start of the year is a time of renewed alignment for our teams, and each department is setting goals to ensure that the member experience remains consistent, welcoming, and reflective of the “gracious and accommodating” hospitality in our mission statement. For 2026, our priorities include:

AMY DAMON General Manager

Departmental Dashboards - Beginning this year, our Controller, Peter Bressler, is implementing departmental dashboards to help managers better evaluate performance and set measurable goals. These dashboards will incorporate financial indicators, operational benchmarks, and member and staff satisfaction data, giving us a more complete view of how each area is performing and contributing to our overall operations. Elevating the Member Experience -We are focused on strengthening communication, improving service consistency, and enhancing programming across all departments. With recent staffing shortages, transitions and Northstar challenges, we know the member experience has felt uneven at times. Our goal is to stabilize operations, improve responsiveness, and ensure that every interaction reflects the quality our members expect. Strengthening Team Culture & Leadership - With our Core Values now well established, we are integrating them into our annual reviews in January as well as our daily operations. This includes empowering staff to make sound decisions, improving collaboration between departments, and expanding leadership development at all levels. A strong culture is essential to delivering exceptional hospitality. Financial Stewardship & Long-Range Planning - Now that our Master Plan has been adopted, we will begin updating our Reserve Study so we can assess long-term capital needs with accuracy and transparency. This work will guide ongoing discussions with our Budget & Finance Committee as we evaluate funding options and create a sustainable roadmap for the future. I am also pleased to report that we are seeing extraordinary momentum with membership growth. Our Belong to Something Timeless promotion has now surpassed 100 new member applications, underscoring the strength and appeal of our community. Welcoming new members is vital to sustaining the Club’s long-term vitality, strengthening our financial foundation, and ensuring that The Pacific Club remains vibrant for generations to come. Each month this publication lists our newest members, so if you see them at the Club, be sure to say hello and welcome them, many of our members’ lifelong friendships have begun right here at The Pacific Club. As we launch our year-long 175th anniversary celebrations, beginning with Cheers to 175 Years on January 23 and concluding with our formal gala on November 14, I look forward to celebrating alongside all of you. This is truly a once- in-a-generation moment for us.
