F&B TALK
A SEASON OF MAGIC, AND A YEAR OF POSSIBILITY
I’ll admit—finding the words for this article did not come easily. With the holidays in full swing, our days blur into a beautiful kind of chaos. But as I walked through the kitchen recently and felt the energy—the clatter, the focus, the unmistakable “we’ve got this” hum—I was reminded exactly what I wanted to say. What makes this Club extraordinary is not perfection. In hospitality, it rarely looks pretty behind the scenes. It can be tough, messy, and far from graceful—until suddenly, it is. It comes together. I apologize on behalf of us all)—every detail is part of the choreography. This year reminded me so much of the ideas in one of my favorite books, Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara. His belief that exceptional experiences are built on intention, kindness, and a willingness to go above and beyond resonates deeply with me. It’s exactly the standard I want to continue fostering here: a culture where our team feels empowered, our members feel known, and our service feels heartfelt. As we prepare for an exciting milestone—our 175th anniversary in 2026—I’m energized by what’s ahead. I look forward to attending the CMAA World Conference in Anaheim this February to recharge, refine, and return with fresh inspiration for our Food & Beverage vision. Next year, we will continue to elevate systems, deepen training, strengthen teamwork, and create experiences that feel both seamless and special. To our entire staff: thank you. The magic members see is because of you—your commitment, your resilience, your grace under pressure, and your belief in the work we do together. And to our members: thank you for allowing us to create these moments for you year after year. We are honored to be part of your holidays and your everyday memories. Here’s to a remarkable season behind us, and an even more extraordinary year ahead.
