research version of the treatment planning system (TPS) RayStation to generate treatment plans for phantoms and mice. Plan delivery accuracy was verified with PTW ICs, comparing measured and TPS- calculated doses. Uncertainties were estimated for both simulation and experimental results, considering measurement precision, magnetic-field and material modelling accuracy in simulation, and data analysis methodology. Results: The MM and Giraffe detectors were demonstrated viable for SIRMIO beam characterization. Measured and simulated 80% dose fall-off positions agreed within 0.1 mm (Figure 1), beam FWHM sizes agreed within 0.2 mm at isocenter (Figure 2), and transmission efficiencies agreed within 4%. The MC model accurately predicted the position and shape of the scanned beam in IMPT delivery. TPS-calculated doses were consistent with PTW IC measurements. Consistent outcomes across 3 research campaigns spanning 3 years confirmed the reproducibility and robustness of the SIRMIO beamline.

Conclusion: The simulation model and beamline system were successfully commissioned and validated through extensive measurements demonstrating reliable and reproducible performance for in-vivo application in preclinical proton therapy research.
