optimal mentorship duration was estimated between one and two years (75% of mentors, 55% of mentees). The most common concerns were time availability and the necessity to clear axes of discussion before each virtual meeting. None of the mentors had previously benefited from mentorship. Among the mentees, 20% had previously experienced mentorship during the 1st year of medical school. The four main topics discussed were residency training, academic/research careers, private practice, and workâlife balance. Overall, more than 80% of mentees were satisfied with their pairing and 64% of mentors wished to continue with the same mentees. Conclusion: The first year of the French Radiation Oncology mentorship programme was encouraging, offering mutual benefits for mentors and mentees alike. Feedback from participants allowed the structure and selection process for future editions to be refined. Keywords: mentorship
