order to reduce the dose in the organs of interest [1]. Breath-hold has also led to dose reduction [1,2,3]. However, the implementation rate and the different clinically implemented methods of breath-hold for dose reduction remains unclear. Material/Methods: The main objective is to gain insight into the implementation rate and clinically implemented methods of breath-hold. The survey was composed in cooperation with the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC), with questions regarding breath-hold implementation, eligibility criteria, immobilization devices, (supportive) techniques used, margins, planning criteria, treatment verification, BH duration and (dis)advantages. The survey was distributed through the networks of the EORTC, the Particle Therapy Co-operative Group (PTCOG) and the International Lymphoma Radiation Oncology Group (ILROG) in order to get a global representation. The survey data provided by the respondents between July 26th through August 21st 2025 were analyzed. Results: Fifty-six respondents from 19 different countries, mostly of European and North American origin, reported on the current clinical practice of treating ML patients, i.e. 3D-CRT, VMAT, IMRT, and various proton techniques (Figures 1A-B). 79% of the institutes have implemented some form of breath-hold in treating patients with mediastinal lymphoma with radiotherapy (Figure 2A). Eleven institutes had not (yet) implemented breath-hold (21%). Four centers did not provide an answer to the question. The most commonly applied technique was deep-inspiration breath-hold (n=36).Audio and/or visual coaching as well as breath-hold training before treatment was applied in 42% and 50%, respectively (Figure 2B). Eligibility criteria, supportive techniques and the breath-hold duration varied strongly.
Conclusion: The majority of the respondents (79%) have
implemented a breath-hold technique. A variety of eligibility criteria and methods to perform and maintain breath-hold is being used. Sharing practical
